Cockerel birds refers to the male chicken. They can be raised for meat between the space of (6) months to one (1) year of age before attaining their maturity age. It it advisable for new farmers to start their farm journey with cockerel birds which comes with the benefit of rearing the birds on free range. Cockerel birds are birds with strong immune system (it is add for disease to attack them). But when we say their immune is very strong it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be care for, with strong antibiotics and multivitamins you good to go.
